¨I wanna go home!” Olive cried. ¨Not until you win the game.¨ a disgusting green creature with fork-shaped feet and a small head replied. ¨B-but I´m scared¨ the little girl exclaimed with a wobbly voice. ¨Look kid, the only thing you have to do is guess what I'm pretending to be easy, right!¨ There was an annoyed tone to his voice. The little girl didn't even look at it as a single tear slithered down her cheek. The girl was tied to a chair in a musty old attic for what must have been 2 hours at least. ¨ok kid you win! What do you want?¨ The girl didn't answer, ¨A toy unicorn, ice cream, cash just name your price I just want to play a game of charades!” The goblin seemed sad. The little girl's eyes widened as she scanned her eyes around the room looking at a doll, the goblin seemed to notice this and then said ¨what about that pretty doll.¨ he smiled gleefully thinking that he might get to play a game after all. ¨Ok !¨ the little girl replied, eager to win her reward. The goblin got on the floor and started kicking with his back legs in a circle motion similar to what he was doing with his arms, he looked like he was having a seizure at the same time as rolling on the floor! It truly was a poor sight to see. The girl began trying to guess what he was doing ¨fishing, making a sandwich, reading, diving?!¨ she said while rolling her eyes half confused half bored. ¨YES YES DIVING I KNEW YOU WOULD FINALLY GET IT!¨ The goblin ran over to the box that the doll lay upon and grabbed it and a pair of scissors he rushed back to the chair where the girl was tied. With two snips the goblin had untied the girl and given her the doll and she was skipping down the hall like nothing happened. ¨bye mister goblin¨ she shouted as she left. The goblin smiled and watched as the girl left.

The Maori language
From Mon, 13 Sep 2021 – Sun, 19 Sep 2021, it's Maori language week! This whole week embraces Maori culture and teaches people about traditions and most importantly language. Learning Te Reo Māori helps people discover a whole new culture. They discover more ways of learning, more ways of knowing, and more about their own limits. They may even look at their first language and compare it to te Reo Maori. The Maori langPākehā were in the majority by the early 1860s and English became the dominant language of New Zealand. Increasingly, te reo was confined to Māori communities that lived separately from Pākehā.uage originates from eastern Polynesia where the Maori came from.
